Daphne Krinos

Daphne Krinos is a distinguished British jewellery designer and maker, celebrated for her bold and architectural designs. Originally from Greece, she established her London studio in the early 1980s, drawing inspiration from both her Greek heritage and her experiences in London.

Her creations are characterised by a distinctive use of materials, notably black oxidised silver and gold, often complemented by translucent semiprecious stones. This combination results in jewellery that is both visually striking and enduring.

Daphne's work is held in several prestigious public collections, including those of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Goldsmiths' Company, and the Crafts Council. She has participated in over 100 exhibitions both in the UK and internationally, showcasing her unique approach to contemporary jewellery design. Beyond her studio practice, Daphne is actively involved in the jewellery community. She is a founding member of the Cosmima Collective and has served as a co-director of the cooperatively run Studio Fusion Gallery in London.
