Kate Bowler

Kate Bowler is a ceramic artist whose work captures the essence of the natural world, focusing on the compelling expressions of animals. Through hand-sculpting each piece, she imparts unique forms and endearing qualities to her subjects. Finished with a white crackle glaze and raku-fired, her sculptures develop naturally imperfect patterns and smoky textures that mirror the animate aspect of her subjects. Driven by the joyful connections animals bring into our lives, Bowler's work invites viewers to connect with the creatures she portrays.

A graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University's 'Artist, Designer; Maker' course, Bowler specialised in ceramics and established her creative practice within animal sculpture. Since graduating, she has exhibited her work at various galleries.
